Who is this course for?

The City and Guilds 2365 Level 3 Electrical Installations Diploma is aimed at those who have already completed the City and Guilds Level 2 Electrical Installations Diploma, and would like to further progress their learning and skills development. This pathway is designed for candidates to become a qualified Electrician in the Domestic, Commercial or Industrial sectors.

This course is not right for you if already have an Electrical Apprenticeship.

 

What does the Level 2 Electrical Installations qualification cover?

his course is designed to further develop your skills and knowledge as a on your pathway to becoming a fully qualified electrician. Following on from the Level 2, this Level 3 qualification goes deeper into the essential knowledge and skills become an electrician in any sector.

The qualification will covers all the underpinning and practical knowledge needed to progress onto the next level of your career

When you complete this course successfully, it is expected that through regular employment/work, you will be able to immediately progress to the C&G 2357 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or Maintenancethis will be one of the final steps in your progression to becoming a fully qualified electrician.

What does the Level 3 Electrical Installations course consist of?

The course will last for 14 weeks, on a part time basis, both in a virtual classroom environment and through attendance at our Electrical Training Centre on a weekly basis.

Your learning will be progressive and will take place with the most up to date tools, equipment, testing equipment in our dedicated electrical workshop environment.

There are 6 units to achieve this Level 3 Qualification as follows;

  • Fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems
  • Principles of Electrical science
  • Fault diagnosis and rectification
  • Inspection, testing and commissioning
  • Electrical Systems design
  • Career awareness in the building services

Why do you need the Level 3 Electrical Installations qualification?

It allows candidates to progress into employment, as an Electrical Improver and onto the following City & Guilds qualifications:

  • 2391-52 – Level 3 Award in the Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing
  • 2357 – NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or Maintenance
  • 2396 – Level 4 Award in Design and Verification of Electrical Installations
