Through passing the City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition) Exam you will gain the qualification: Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018 Incorporating Amendment 1:2018

The City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition) Exam is an open-book exam and candidates will require access to a copy of the IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition BS 7671:2018 Incorporating Amendment 1:2018 during the examination. The aim of this unit is to enable the candidate to demonstrate that they are conversant with the IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition BS 7671:2018 Incorporating Amendment 1:2018 (the national standard for the electrical industry in respect of safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems in the United Kingdom).

This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IEE Wiring Regulations. It is also suitable for anyone wishing to demonstrate an understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition BS 7671:2018Incorporating Amendment 1:2018

It allows candidates to progress into employment or to other City & Guilds qualifications in Inspection, Testing, Design and Certification of Electrical Installations (2392).

The City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition) is a 2 hour, eVolve online exam, consisting of 60 multiple choice questions. By booking the City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition) Exam, it is presumed that you have your own correct study material and have completed a minimum of 35 guided learning hours.

Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this qualification, however candidates must have the potential and opportunity to successfully gain the qualification. City & Guilds also provides the Exam Success Book specifically for this qualification.

Candidates must be able to supply their own copy of the IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018 (2018). A non-programmable calculator will be provided to candidates by GBCT.

 

The City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition) Exam is available to candidates who have completed a minimum of 35 hours home study or undergone a recognised course in the Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018 Incorporating Amendment 1:2018

It is also available as a re-sit to candidates who did not fulfil the required levels in their first sitting of the Exam.

On the day of your Exam you will be required to sign a Declaration stating that you have undertaken the minimum guided learning hours.

Using the Underground:

Take the Picadilly Line, Westbound towards Heathrow, disembark at Hounslow East, Walk towards the Hounslow Bus Station bus stop G and catch either H37 (Towards Richmond) or 117 (Towards West Middlesex Hospital), get off at bus stop AA St. John the Baptist.

Take the District Line, Westbound towards Richmond, disembark at Richmond Station, Walk towards the Bus Stop D and catch the H37 (Towards Hounslow), get off at bus stop BB Grainger Road.

Using the Main Line:

South West Trains from Waterloo; Trains heading towards Hounslow, Weybridge and Addleston all trains must be VIA Brentford (Usually Platforms 16,17,18). Disembark at Isleworth Train Station, and walk down St.Johns Road towards the centre.

Catching the Bus:

Buses close to the centre are the H37 (Hounslow-Richmond) and 117 (Staines- West Middlesex Hospital) At Bus Stop AA and BB.

Buses near by are; 237 (White City (London Westfield) – Hounslow Heath), E8 (Ealing Broadway – Hounslow Bells corner) and 235 (North Brentford Quarter – Sunbury Village), At Bus Stop F (Isleworth Train Station).
